I basically struck gold.

Good Morning, Fancy People! I have enjoyed a pretty stress-free Spring Break with my favorite people, and I hope you have, too. I’m not sure I’m ready to go back to work, but at the same time, I am SO ready to go back to work and make big things happen!

I wrote a blog post this morning about quieting the Voice of Fear and amplifying the Voice of Success. I have the privilege of being asked to write for an international dance entrepreneurs organization each month, and that was my submission. As soon as I hit “send”…

Me: Gee, that one is awesome! Even I want to go conquer the world after reading back through that!

Keith, My Hubs: GO DO IT!

Me: …

Him: What?

Me: You know, you have always been THE most encouraging person for me. You always tell me to go after whatever, to do whatever I want to do. I’m not sure anybody could ever be as encouraging of me as you are.

And that’s that. He is. I am so fortunate to have that kind of support. My college degree, my leveling up through each successful job, my dance studio. He was behind all that, cheering for me, inspiring my Voice of Success. Many times he scolded me for being fearful. He challenged my thoughts. He provided clarity. The man has listened to all my drama and nonsense but always made me feel smart and capable despite it.

I write about this, because I was overwhelmed by it this morning. You know how you can have those moments where some thought hits you like a truck? This one did. It makes me grateful. It makes me want to never take him for granted. It makes me want to keep doing better and working to be my best self.

I hope you have someone like this in your life. If you do, go thank them right now. If you don’t, look for one. A strong support system is everything. Mine is pretty cute, too. And on top of all that, he just cleaned the kitchen. I basically struck gold.
