Things I learned today…

I feel like I’m in the midst of a huge transition in life…now why does it feel that way?

I was relatively productive today, but I didn’t feel that good. Still don’t. I think I need rest.

I made 2 new friends today, the Cintas sales rep and our new FedEx guy. We solved all the world’s problems. I find it no accident that certain people are put in front of us.

I would rather stub my second to last toe on the side table in the middle of the night after stepping on something moist and unidentifiable than go to the grocery store.

I want lemon icebox pie.

Introverts cringe so hard at the thought of Pampered Chef parties and whatnot. It makes our skin crawl to think we will be sitting around making fake small talk about kitchen gadgets we can’t afford and don’t need while fake smiling and fake giggling at the “your husband called and said you can buy whatever you want” humor. Oof.

Do you trust your kids? Can you trust your kids? Are your kids trustworthy? Boy, this is a hard one. You WANT to trust your kids, because they’re so smart… but they are also knuckleheads…but know how to handle things…but morons…but really good at stuff…but numskulls…sheesh.

Brady asked me the other day, “Mom, when do children get easier? Like babies are hard. When do they get easier?” I told her I didn’t know, that mine were 13 and 19, and I’m still not there yet. She smirked.

If I may be so bold, if you’re enjoying the blog, please hit the LIKE button occasionally. It’ll make me feel all warm and fuzzy, but besides that, it’ll make the Facebook algorithm churn plus it’ll give me a sense of how many folks read the posts. Do it! And thank you. I am so grateful.

That’s all. We learn every day, don’t we?
